Are you a photographer who finds yourself looking at dull RAW files and wonder where to start or how to find a vision for your edit?
Introducing Earth Edit. If you are an intermediate photographer with a working knowledge of Lightroom & Photoshop and would like to take your images to the next level then Earth Edit could be for you.
A lot of non photographers don’t realise, but all RAW files are naturally duller and flatter than the scene you actually photographed. RAW files are designed to be edited to bring the image back to life and recapture the natural beauty you witnessed - or maybe even go beyond in some cases. A creative, well thought out editing workflow is a must if you want to get the most out of your photography.
What you get:
— Your chosen RAW file edited in Lightroom. I give you the .xmp file for the image with all changed settings that you can plug straight back into Lightroom.
— After editing in Lightroom I take the image into Photoshop, do further edits and save as a layered TIFF file. I supply the TIFF file through Dropbox. You can then open in Photoshop and view/change all the edits I have made to the image as layers.
— A document outlining briefly all the edits I have made to your image and my reasons behind each one. This will also include a section on Lightroom photo management and an overview of my workflow.
— A 7 page Knowledge Pack covering all aspects of landscape photography including light, composition, post processing and optimising for web.
— I will be available to answer any questions you may have.
What I need from you:
— Be willing to learn. My edit won’t automatically make you a wizz. You still need to research, read and learn how to best implement the ideas I show you. I will provide as much information and as many resources as possible, but its up to you to take it to the next step.
— Provide me with a well thought out photograph in RAW format. Obviously the better light it was taken in, the more I can do with it. Post processing is awesome and there are so many ways to subtly enhance an image - but I can still only work with what I have in front of me. I can’t take a child’s drawing and turn it into a Picasso! A series of bracketed images for dynamic range purposes is great however any single shot that is taken in good light with a well thought out composition should work. I am happy to view the image before you sign up to make sure it is up to scratch.
COST: $200 for first image $100 for any further images.
